Dr. Gary Walker grew up in South Bend, Indiana, and was awarded Scholar Athlete of St. Joseph County 1981. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Purdue University in 1985. Dr. Walker next received his Doctorate Degree in Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry and has been practicing general dentistry in private practice since 1989. Dr. Gary and his wife Dr. Rebecca Walker established Walker Dentistry in Fishers, Indiana in 1992.
Dr. Gary holds the position of Faculty Practitioner at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He enjoys mentoring dental students in their externships and is a guest speaker at the dental school teaching senior dental students about the latest in dental technologies. He is also a CEREC® Trainer for Sirona/Dentsply and Patterson Dental, teaching other dentists how to use digital CAD/CAM technology.
He is a former member of the Seattle Study Club whose local chapter earned study club of the year in 2008. Dr. Gary was Director of the Indianapolis Northside Spear Study Club for ten years. He has also been a long-standing member and presenter for the Indianapolis Implant Restorative Study Club.
Dr. Gary is among a special group of Indiana dentists who collectively provide over a half million dollars of free dental care annually to Indiana's disabled citizens. Dr. Gary was a Boy Scout Leader for over 12 years. He is an outdoors enthusiast and loves fishing. Dr. Gary and Dr. Becky have three grown children and one grandchild (who is the best grandchild there ever was).
