The CEREC machine crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

CEREC restorations are made of compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are stronger than laboratory restorations, which are layered porcelain.

The most beneficial feature of receiving a CEREC restoration is that it is accomplished in one visit. In addition to the benefit of a one visit restoration, there is no uncomfortable impression material to bite on or temporary to wear.


 

A Digital Impression is taken inside of the mouth with a 3-D optical camera.  No more Goopy impressions that gag you !  Then Dr. Gary or Dr. Becky will design the perfect restoration for your tooth digitally on the computer screen.  Finally, a milling unit will re-create that design in ultra strong porcelain which is even more durable and harder than your own enamel.  The fabrication time averages 8-14 minutes.
